Funny things kids say

Harlie: "Mom we need to throw away our pumpkins"
me: "why we haven't even carved them yet?"
Harlie: "Because mom, they're decaying"
Me: "Decaying? Where did you learn that?" (scared I've been watching too much CSI)
Harlie: "Duh, Sid the science kid told me, garbage in the trash can is decaying too...we need to throw it away"
Me: "Ok honey, but our pumpkins won't get thrown away till after Halloween"
Harlie: " Mom, is my apple decayed?"

Luke's Big News

That's right Luke is officially diaper free!! We started potty training bootcamp a week ago Thursday, Yesterday Luke was down to one accident a day and saying potty MOST of the time, but we were relying on a timer to keep him dry. Today we haven't really used the time and he is actually saying "Potty". He is even using it for #2. And I am proud to say (as I am knocking on wood) that he is accident free today...Even during bedtime and naptime.
Go LUKE!

PS We are VERY well aware his undies drown him...We're working finding some for boys with little bums...Anyone know where these are?

New Puppy...not ours!

My little brother got a new puppy and the kids got to see her for the first time,
She's beyond sweet and I'm pretty sure that I'm in love with her, it's a good thing we live in an apartment or We could talk ourselves into getting one of her sisters. Her name is Senoma , She's a 10 week old German Shepherd /Chocolate lab mix, and she was up for euthinization at a rescue shelter in Tooele.

A four year old a pumpkin patch and a party

Harlie turned four yesterday, so I thought I should post some pictures of her day
We started the day off going out to breakfast Harlie had A smily face pancake and Hot Cocoa from Ihop , She wanted to open presents the second we got home, so that is what we did next.
Then we baked her cake

and after nap time it was off to the pumpkin patch!
After the pumpkin patch we went over to my parents house so that Papa Beagley could see Harlie on her birthday, And then we finished the day up with the rest of the Campbell/Beagley's that could come and cake and Ice Cream. Harlie had a good day and loved having everyone here...Not too mention all the new stuff.

We've been up to....

I haven't been a very good blogger...And now I have so many other blogs to keep up with.
Welcome Amy and Heather who have recently started blogging.

This month so far...

Tyson had a day off with the kids, so I suggested he do something fun with them while I was at work. He took them down to Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country. They had so much fun, My kids LOVE animals and they got to ride a pony, When Tyson told me that they BOTH willingly got on their ponies I almost didn't believe it. But you can tell by the pictures that they were so excited.
They loved it and had a great day with their dad
.

We also had our Discount Tire dinner dance the other night and THANKS AMY for doing my hair for me. It looked great and stayed up all night. We had a great night and then we had a hotel room so Grandma Campbell (kept the kids for the night, and we got to sleep in Sunday for a change (thanks mom). It was a nice break from work and all of the monotony of every day life.

Real Moms

REAL MOTHERS

Real Mothers do not eat quiche;

they do not have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are

probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough does not come out of shag carpets.

Real Mothers do not want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...

It is marked by the progression of Mama to Mom to Mother.

The Images of Mother:

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mama can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She has no clue!

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it.

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a mama is not in the clothes she wears, The figure that she carries,

Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a mama must be seen from in her eyes,Because that is the doorway to her heart, The place where love resides.
The beauty of a mama is not in a facial mole, But true beauty is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a mama With passing years only grows!
