Pioneer Day Fun

Tyson had to work so we spent some of our day at the pool swimming

Harlie is a bit timid to jump off the edge into the pool but Luke,
Luke you almost can't keep up with his jumping

The little shadow under the water is LukeThen in the evening we went to Grandma Rachel's house,
There we made Rootbeer and Ice cream, The kids loved
playing in the dry ice smoke,

That night we lit off a few fireworks and just hung out, we had a really fun day.
And the kids slept really well, it's nice when you can finally wear them out.

No baby progress

So far there is basically no progress as far as dilation and effacement goes....The Dr said he would induce me up to a week early, but can't tell me when until after my appointment next Tuesday. I am thinking that if we are going to schedule to be induced, we are going to see if we can do it on the 5th because that is the most convenient for Tyson to take time off from work...She may or may not decide to come earlier but we'll have to see. Next week is my last week of work so that works out pretty well, Then again Madison may have her own plan......

Rest in peace little Hannah

My niece Hannah passed away this morning.
Little Hannah was 7, she was born with V.A.T.E.R.S syndrome. Her right side was severely effected. Born with only one kidney and no thumb, Hannah has faced so much in her short life.
She loved animals...She had the most infectious smile. This has been a hard year on her, and she has fought bravely. I went to my sisters house this morning and had the chance to hold Hannah's hand before the mortuary came and got her, she looked so peaceful, and I am so glad I was able to make it over there to say goodbye.

Things around here have been very hard, in the past couple of moths I lost a dear friend, Tyson's little brother was in motorcycle accident, and we almost lost him, he is healing which is a blessing. My dad's health has taken a turn for the worse and he has congestive heart failure and has Hospice coming in to take care of him, and now Hannah's passing...I am not sure why all of these things have happened all so close together, and I am not sure that I am strong enough for much more...But I am so grateful that I know that death is not the end, and that the Lord wants us to keep moving forward. And so that is what we have to do...I will miss this little girl, and the amazing spirit she has, and I am so grateful for all of the things she taught me.

This is the song that reminded my sister of Hannah when she was at primary childrens a few months ago....in room 2304

Sherie Austin/Streets of Heaven

Hello God, it's me again. 2:00 a.m., Room 304.
Visiting hours are over, time for our bedside tug of war.
This sleeping child between us may not make it through the night.
I'm fighting back the tears as she fights for her life.
Well, it must be kind of crowded,
On the streets of Heaven.
So tell me: what do you need her for?
Don't you know one day she'll be your little girl forever.
But right now I need her so much more.
She's much too young to be on her own:
Barely just turned seven.
So who will hold her hand when she crosses the streets of Heaven?

Tell me God, do you remember the wishes that she made,
As she blew out the candles on her last birthday cake?
She wants to ride a pony when she'd big enough.
She wants to marry her Daddy when she's all grown up.

Lord, don't you know she's my angel
You got plenty of your own
And I know you hold a place for her
But she's already got a home
Well I don't know if you're listenin'
But praying is all that's left to do
So I ask you Lord have mercy, you lost a son once too

And it must be kind of crowded,
On the streets of Heaven.
So tell me: what do you need her for?
Don't you know one day she'll be your little girl forever.
But right now I need her so much more.
Lord, I know once you've made up your mind,
There's no use in beggin'.
So if you take her with you today, will you make sure she looks both ways,
And would you hold her hand when she crosses the streets of Heaven.

The streets of Heaven.

Bear Lake 09' WARNING Tons of Pictures

This past weekend (and part of this week) we went to Bear Lake Utah, We love it there and go just about once a year with some friends of ours. The kids loved the beach, and lake and they didn't want to leave.

She likes long walks on the beach ....

Harlie and Luke got to ride on the wave runner with Daddy, Harlie was skeptical at first but they both ended up loving it and both asked daddy to drive "faster"

We learned this weekend that Harlie is DEATHLY afraid of mosquitoes. Our Friend Marissa was showing another friend Ben a mosquito that was on her arm stinging her, and Harlie was sitting right next to them, Harlie screamed frantically and cried that Marissa had a mosquito on her and that it was stinging her. The next day I was taking a nap in the tent and Tyson was watching the kids play, I woke up to what I thought was a bear attacking Harlie (because that's what she was screaming like) and came rushing out of the tent to find her in a tipped over camping chair crying because a mosquito had landed on her. This is what we woke up to in the night the remainder of our camping trip and Harlie had to be sprayed with repellent or she would not come out of the tent.

Our last night there a wind storm picked up and the kids ran into the tent to hide from it, I came inside with them to console them and as we are laying huddled on the bed, Harlie was crying that "the wind was going to blow away the tent and that it would be ruined" as I am telling her that the wind won't break the tent .....the wind breaks the tent and the half we were not in went down....and then another pole breaks and it starts collapsing around us, and we have to run into Ben and Elisha's trailer to ride out the storm....and figure out what to do about the tent. ..The storm did pass, and at about 10:30 at night we were able to get our tent back up with the help of some duct tape, and get the tired scared kids to bed.

Even though 2 poles on our tent got broken and we all got a little too much sun, we had so much fun and we can't wait till the next time we get to go to Bear Lake.

Now we have just a few weeks to get things ready for Baby Madison, and we are all very excited and can't wait for her arrival....and we're glad it didn't happen while we were on our vacation.
